While FCPS Schools are in session (May 25th - June 12th):
M - F: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sat - Su: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
After FCPS Schools are out (June 13th - August 18th):
Daily: 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
Hours may be subject to change based on staffing, safety or other factors. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Certain activities (swim team practice, swim lessons, etc.) may take place outside of normal operating hours; however, the pool is not open to the membership during these times. Also, certain sections of the facility may be closed to members due to special events (swim meets, special events, etc.).
If weather, staff availability, and budget permit, the WRA board may elect to keep the pool open for one or two additional weekends in September. If the pool will be open, the website will be updated with the information, signs will be posted in the pool house, and the sign at the corner of Dalebrook Drive and Waynewood Boulevard will show the dates and hours.
There are a few dates/times when swim team activities will impact the lap pool availability. Please watch this space for updated information in the next few weeks.
Guest Fee Passes
All Member and Authorized User guests are to be accompanied at the pool or tennis courts by a Member or Authorized User. Payment for guests may be done at the Pool Front Desk by Credit/Debit Card, using the Square system, or by check. Guest passes are $3 or 10 for $26.00. Cash is not accepted, but in circumstances where a credit card or check is not possible, please let the staff at the Front Desk aware and they will be able to assist you.
Important Pool Rules to Remember
Baby Pool Rules
The baby pool is for children 5 years of age and under and is not intended to be used by older children during break. Children MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by an adult at all times. NO LIFEGUARD is on duty at the baby pool so parents must be present to ensure the safety of their children.
Direct Supervision of Children
All children 9 years of age and under must be in direct supervision of an adult at all times, unless the child has passed the swim proficiency test. Direct supervision is defined as “within arm’s length.” This rule is in place to ensure the safety of children. Children who cannot pass the swim efficiency test can easily get into distress even in shallow water. The only way to ensure that your child remains safe is to supervise them at all times when they are in the pool.
Unaccompanied Access to the Pool
All children 9 years of age and under MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by an adult at all times. Children between the ages of 10 and 12 may come to the pool unaccompanied IF they have passed the swim proficiency test AND received permission from their parent(s).
Swim proficiency tests will be administered by lifeguards throughout the summer. Please see the onsite pool manager for more information.

The Waynewood Recreation Association pool complex consists of a park and playground, athletic fields, 3 pools, lighted tennis courts, and a basketball court. The pool and tennis courts are for members only.
The WRA has contracted with American Pools to provide pool management services for the 2021 season (https://americanpool.com). The WRA board, consisting of eight volunteer pool members, strives to provide a wonderful experience for the members – a clean, safe, well-run facility, with activities for both children and adults.
Member and Authorized Users are to use the WRA member number to log in, keypad at the Front Desk attended to by staff, and check in themselves, affiliated members and guests.
Pool Activities
The WRA hosts many pool activities. Children 18 and under might be interested in joining the Waynewood Dolphins Swim Team. Adults looking for organized pool exercise might like to try Aquafit water aerobics or Masters Swimming.
