Hello WRA Members and Approved Users,
Registration for WRA summer activities and camps opens at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016. You can register online at www.waynewoodrec.org with credit card or with a check at Super Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at the pool. To register with a check, you must download, print and complete the appropriate registration form from the WRA website. Bring the registration form along with an Emergency Contact and Medical Waiver form and a check made payable to the WRA to the pool on Super Sunday.
The website does not yet have complete information on all the summer camps and activities. As soon as dates, times and cost of all the camps are finalized the information will be posted on the website.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TENNIS: We are in need of a Junior Tennis Team Coordinator and Tennis Camp Coordinator. If a Member does not volunteer to coordinate then there will be no Junior Tennis Team this summer and Tennis Camps will not be available. If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail the Sports Chair, Brian Hope, at sports@waynewoodrec.org.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF TENNIS COURTS: The tennis courts will be closed for up to three days for application of the color coat. The work will be done sometime this Spring but we do not yet have a start date. Once a date is set, we will post the information on the WRA website and on the Tennis Court bulletin board.
MOVIE IN THE PARK COORDINATOR NEEDED: Do you love to watch movies outside on a beautiful summer night? Then this is the volunteer opportunity you have been waiting for! The coordinator is responsible for selecting which movies to show as well as the date and time. The coordinator is also responsible for setting up the projector, speakers and screen and putting them away after the movie. CLEAN UP OF THE POOL HOUSE: The WRA Board will be cleaning out the pool house on Sunday, May 15. We could use as much help as possible to get the pool house ready for the summer. If you have a pair of work gloves and are willing to get a little dirty, please contact the Pool Chair, George Coyne, at pool@waynewoodrec.org!
USE OF WRA FACILITY AND FIELDS: Anyone using the WRA fields for a regularly scheduled sports practice or to hold a party or gathering of more than 25 people must receive prior approval from the WRA. Requests for facility or field-use may be made through the WRA website at www.waynewoodrec.org.
